Lemme tell ya a quick story about an orange starfish...

So I'm walking along the beach in La Jolla, California one afternoon — just me, the waves, and that incredible Pacific coastline — when I spot something bright orange half-buried in the wet sand.

An orange starfish.

There's a famous story called "The Starfish Story" that's been floating around for years. You might've heard it.

A man is walking along a beach covered with thousands of starfish that had washed ashore after a storm. Everywhere he looks — starfish baking in the sun, stranded, slowly dying.

Up ahead, he sees a young boy picking them up one at a time and tossing them back into the ocean.

The man walks up and says...

"Kid, look around. There are thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't possibly make a difference."

The boy bends down, picks up another starfish, and gently throws it back into the waves.
